This undergraduate program is dedicated to foster advanced interdisciplinary study with broad and deep knowledge of the fundamental theories, methods and technical skills of biological sciences and technology, good understanding of the forefront and trends of biological sciences, solid training of technical skills in molecular biology, and the potential to undertake fundamental research and technology development. Overall, the graduates should have a certain professional expertise, good scientific literacy and some innovation capacity. Graduates should be competent to teach or research in colleges, universities or academic institutes, or work in industry, medicine, food, agriculture, forestry, husbandry, fishery, environmental protection, customs related enterprises, institutions and in administrative service divisions for biotechnology related research, development, production, management and promotion of environmental biological controls, biological fertilizer, biopharmacy, and bioengineering. Qualified graduates will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science.
